Making Education in Longmeadow an Extraordinary Experience
The Longmeadow Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF) is a private,
volunteer, non-profit (tax exempt 501-C-3) organization established in
2001 to enrich, enhance, and support the quality of education in the
Longmeadow public schools. LEEF is committed to underwriting grants
to provide our schools (K-12) with extraordinary opportunities beyond
the scope of our tax supported budgets.
To learn more about how you can help LEEF, please visit our

It’s time for the seventh annual Leef Gala. Don’t miss it! Join us on
Saturday, November 15, at the Longmeadow Country Club for an enjoyable
evening with friends while bidding on many fabulous items in live and
silent auctions. Going for the Gold is the Gala theme this year. There
will be wonderful food and entertainment for 400 people. Pianist Abbey
Thomsen and Longmeadow student musicians will be performing. Bid on Red
Sox, Patriots and Celtics tickets and memorbilia, weekend getaways,
gift certificates, wine, jewelry and a trip to Paris. You can download
and print a Ticket Order Form.
The Ticket Flyer has a reminder to
stick on the fridge as well as the order form. On the
Ready Set Auction website you can
donate an auction item, make a cash donation and bid on an auction item.
LEEF’s goal this year is to raise $85,000. Families, businesses and
individuals have come together to make it possible for LEEF to award 144
grants in the amount of $561,000 during the past seven years. Our
educators are excited about being able to continue to implement extraordinary
educational opportunities for our children. Please see the
Gala Page for more information on this
exciting event.
Our Mission
The mission of LEEF is to create and maintain a fund that provides grants
for innovative education and enrichment programs beyond the tax-supported
budget for the benefit of Longmeadow public school students. The foundation
is an autonomous, long-term institution that strives to ensure the excellence
of Longmeadow Public Schools and promotes a proprietary sense of ownership
and pride within the community.
Who We Are
LEEF is comprised of 35 board members from our community who share a
common passion for extraordinary public school education. We are a
dedicated group of former students, educators and parents with and
without students in our Longmeadow schools. As capable as we
are, we cannot succeed without the support of the larger community.
How You Can Help
We need you. We need your financial support. We need you to lend
your time, your talents, your ideas. Helping LEEF attain its mission
benefits all of us. Please be part of this effort and actively
support LEEF in whatever manner you can. Contact us at
